The Tiny Quartet are an Irish string trio (violin, acoustic guitar, and double bass) specialising in distinctive arrangements of their most cherished songs from across the eras. They seamlessly weave between genres - pop, jazz, classical, rock, folk, dance - creating a unique sound that has captivated audiences around the country for the last number of years.
From timeless classics to great contemporary hits the group put their unique stamp on a variety of music, from Bach to Britney Spears, Schubert to Smashing Pumpkins, Prince to Queens of the Stone Age.
Their version of Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears even came to the attention of the band’s frontman Curt Smith who invited them to meet the band when they played in Dublin.
On violin is Sarah Lynch, musician and IFTA winning film composer, who has over the years performed live and recorded with a host of artists including Hozier, Mumford and Sons, Mundy, Paul Brady and Ed Sheeran.
On guitar is Donal Gunne, musician and composer, who co-founded the group Túcan and has collaborated with some of Irelands top talent including Paul Brady, Conor O’Brien (Villagers), Lisa Hannigan, and Caomhin O’ Raghallaigh amongst others.
On double bass is Graham Heaney, a musician with many years of experience performing and recording with acts such as Saint Sister, Oisín Leech, Steve Gunn, The Lost Brothers and the National Concert Hall’s Echo band.
